  1. I liked that Eliseo’s blogger was so passionate. We’ve seen passionate bloggers and heard that it’s key to success in blogging, but this is the first time we’ve seen someone study their interest so much! Interestingly, I had some qualms with News9 Online until recently because they, too, disabled their comments.

Adam’s blog was really cool! I love the policy of freedom to publish. That’s revolutionary in the journalism world, especially working for a newspaper or broadcasting company. This was also the first blog presentation that mentioned multiple bloggers and sister blogs. Seems like a very interesting take on traditional blogging.

  2. For Eliseo’s blog, I liked that the blogger’s advice is to be creative with whatever your blog content is.

For Adam’s presentation, I thought it was interesting that the blog had multiple bloggers. Also, the stats were incredibly large and eye opening.

  3. Eliseo, I think we are seeing a trend among the professional bloggers we’ve all adopted. They all say to find a passion and stick with it. That’s the greatest piece of advice we can take from these people as we step outside of the classroom and try to make a name for ourselves in the real world.

Adam, I’ve scrolled through Deadspin before and I really appreciate their taste in humor and satire. It’s one of those sites that doesn’t require you to be a sports fanatic in order to enjoy it, and I value that as a reader.

  4. Eliseo's adopted blog helped me realize that I can do more for my blog. I can make it more visual, but remain focus on the content.

Adam- I haven't heard of Deadspin before, but it was interesting. I think I've learned that patience and being true to what you blog about helps a lot to be a successful blogger.

  5. Elisio, the blog you adopted seemed really intriguing. Because she her topic is really different, I bet her followers are loyal. It is strange that she has no comments because topics like health cures are always good for suggestions.

Adam, I read a lot of Gawker media sites. Like the quote says, I love that Denton's websites have no fear. I find myself reading their blogs because it's content that's not found anywhere else. Uniqueness is the key. Denton did a good job finding original content that's still relatable to the masses.

  6. I liked the advice of Emma editor of Deadspin that you should write a blog and have a twitter account so that when you do write some thing unique it could lead to being heard which could then lead to income possibly. I like that Deadspin gives you the freedom to write no matter the content and they will back you even if there is a chance of being sued.

  7. Elisio: The fact that the blog's author integrates so much of her life into the blog is interesting. Elisio mentioned the fact that the author has many certifications in her fields. It's great that she mixes her work and her blogging.

  8. Elisio's blog is very interesting because I enjoy how people can put so much of their life on the web. It's passionate blogging that makes the blog survive. Also, it would be nice to see her post more on the blog.

Adam's blog is very intriguing because I found it interesting that Deadspin is under an umbrella of others blogs. Also, the blog practices free speech, which makes the writing feel more authentic. Readers are more intrigued by the "realness" of content. I find myself reading blogs and wondering if the blogger is making it up or not.

  9. Elisio's blog interested me because it's very detailed and personal. There's a lot of people's personal lives out there, which goes back to having passion for what you blog about. Adam's blog I found interesting since Deadspin was a single blog that's part of a larger community. It's easy to promote your own blog that way, too.

  10. Elisio's blogger was proof that you can blog about things you're passionate about and things you have experience with. Adam's blogger showed that you don't have to take things too seriously, but you can have fun with it. It's important to remember that blogging may be a passion, but it's also supposed to be fun.

  11. Elisio's blog was definitely intriguing to say the least. One takeaway that I found to be most interesting is to be creative no matter what. Blog about abstract things. Also, when bolgging, try to blog about things that are not so mainstream.

Adam's Blog was unique. A key idea that I benefited from, was to not be afraid to put yourself out there as a blogger. Do not be afraid to blog about something that actually has heart and substance.
