I have been meaning to add a favicon to my blog and my professional website for a while now, and I think this post convinced me to do it! I think it looks a lot more put together with one added.

After reading these 10 tips I've decided to create a blog signature. I've seen them on a few other blogs but never considered making one for myself. That will be the next thing I do for my blog.
I like the idea of adding a favicon to my blog. I think it would really help personalize my blog and also I would like to add a signature image that reflects my favicon. If I can design those to look the same and reflect the look of my blog I think I will really like how it all looks together.
I was most interested in the favicon and the social media widgets. If I can get people to follow me on Twitter they'll be able to read my other stories that I post on Ucentral and also get more up-to-date sports opinions from me.
After reading this article, I have done most of these things. Even going as far as correlating the colors to all have a theme. I think it's important to make your blog stand out above the rest. The content maybe good, but if you want to "hook" a reader the best way to do it is to make a lasting visual impression. I have gone back and forth on connecting my social media to my blog. I want to make sure I have a solid start, and create a good foundation before I make those two connected.
I knew most of what the blog lists, except for the flavicon. It looks interesting. I've been wanting to personalize my blog more, but I'm not that tech savvy and I don't want to drop a bunch of cash.
One idea that I gained was to be smart about the colors my blog has. I don't want people to be turned off if they go to my blog and there are a lot of different bright colors. Or if it looks boring and not interesting because then nobody will want to read it. This post showed me how to be more aware when putting my blog together.

The favicon is definitely a must do for me now, it would help make my blog look more professional and rememberable. Also the blog post signature might be something else for me to look into.
The one thing I think I want to add that would help my blog stand out a bit more it adding a more interesting signature at the end of each post. When I posted my introduction, I waited awhile at the end to try to come up with something witty at the end and couldn't come up with anything good. I plan to work on it.
I want to make an effort to incorporate the social media icons in my blog. I've seen them before and want to link my accounts to my blog so that readers can keep up to date with me on a day-to-day basis.
One idea I received from this link is the favicon idea. I have always wondered how people add those to their blog, and in the next week, I will work on putting one on my own blog.
I really like the idea of the blog signature, which will give me the unique touch that I want. I'm new to all this blog stuff so much of this information was relevant.
I never thought about using a signature or really noticed any being used on blogs I've read. I think its a nice and creative way to make blog posts a little more personal and unique to you. This is definitely something I would consider doing!
