  1. One way to get traffic/build traffic for your blog is to focus on the design of your blog. Your blog is just as personal as the layout is. Make sure it matches your personality as well as what you're blogging about. For instance, if your blog has a tranquility blog, you want to make sure that background isn't pitch black with Skulls.

Second, if you have social media and you're wanting to post things about your blog on the other social media sights, times you post are important. They aren't THAT important, but you'd probably see a significant difference in the views of your post. Also, whenever posting things on your other social media sights, treat them like a blog. Post headlines that'll catch viewers eyes!

  2. I usually share my blog on Facebook as soon as I make a new post. I've previously done this just so my friends and family have easy access to what I post (and you know how grandmas like to see everything you do). This has helped boost traffic on my blog but maybe I'll try to be more time specific and see how that changes views, comments, shares, etc.

  3. One of the most important lessons I got from these posts is about how to maintain your social networking as a way to increase traffic to your blog. The tools to hep monitor and schedule social posts at the right times and with the right content is making it easier and easier to "do social" correctly.

  4. To build traffic to your blog, it's good to make connections with other bloggers that have similar niches to yours so that guest blogging is possible. This sends a lot of readers from other blogs to yours.
If you are using social media to promote your posts, it is important to post at optimal hours, during the times when most people will see it.

  6. I really like the idea of guest blogging. The article discussed how you can use the credibility of other bloggers to increase your own blog traffic. Another idea I really liked was promoting your blog on social media or emailing your posts to blogger outreach alliances.

  8. I learned a few things from reading these articles. I need to be better at sharing my posts on my social media. I never thought of making sure I post it as a time of day that would reach the target audience I blog for. By doing this I could also get people to share my posts on their own blog. I agree that the looks of a blog is 100% one of the most important things. Looks are appealing to the eye along with catchy headlines that you could use on any of your social medias to get more readers.

  9. I have my blog connected to Twitter, so whenever I post a blog it will automatically post to my timeline. Many of my followers aren't the blogging type due to the age group that I'm in, but it still gets my blogs out there.

  10. Using social media sites, like Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest will definitely boost traffic to any blog; It's basically free advertisment. Posting links to your social media accounts gives readers easy access to your blog. I learned that it's also important to repost so that information continues to stream to your audiences, as well as posting at good times so that people don't miss your posts when they get mixed in with all the others from the day.

  12. The thought of being a guest blogger on a big time blogging site is nerve wrecking to me because what if they don't like you? The blogger OR the readers! But if it goes well I could see this being a big help to my own blog. Also the site design is a big deal in this process. Another thing I found to be a helpful tool was when the site suggested blogging at an optimal time. If you blog at midnight or early in the morning, I feel like those times are not going to generate a lot of traffic to your post. I generally blog when I know I get on the computer or on social media most, which is around 7-10 pm.

  13. Traffic tips are ways to get more followers. They recommend bloggers to engage with other blogs as a way to attract more people to your page.
The social media explains how to get people to see what you are writing about, and what way you are doing it. Can be using hashtags, or linkable posts.

  14. I really love the idea of guest blogging, and see it often on some of the blogs I follow. It really is a good idea to drive up traffic and also add some spark to your blog if you feel like you're not coming up with fresh ideas. I also sometimes find it difficult to advertise via social media just because it seems like so many people have a blog these days it is easy to ignore when someone shares theirs. Though I did share it once and it got 100 views just that evening which felt really awesome!

  15. Thanks Katie Ceyler, sometime in the future you can guest blog for me. :^)
I Think this a a great opportunity to be able to guest blog for a well known blogger I too. I Think I will keep it to some people with some manners so not to get blasted with insults.

  16. I want to use social media aspect more on my outreach to gain more reader interaction. In that social media reach I would like to use a headline that the link suggests, like the surprise or curiosity kind. Blogger outreach may be a bit over my head for a recreational blog, but if I were to blog for a business or organization I would definitely focus on it.

  17. Using my twitter is the best way for me. I have the lucky chance of already having people following me for my sports opinion so I noticed that once I linked my twitter handle to my page my views increased tremendously. We live in an age of twitter. Use it.

  19. First, I am a strong advocate for using social media in building traffic for blogs. Not only that though, 'when' is crucial as well because there are certain times during the days that are considered the most popular time to post. Second, reaching out to other bloggers is helpful as well. Specifically google other blogs that are related to yours and then find ways to contact them and ask for their tips.

  20. Social Media is a great way to bring traffic to my page. I post almost all my blogs on facebook and because of it so many people read my post. Not to mention there is also Instagram and Twitter and they are so popular these days most people use them as their primary news outlet source. I work for the newspaper and we post all of our blogs on Twitter and it brings a lot of traffic to the website.

  21. Hate to be on the bandwagon, but social media is the easiest choice. It is crucial to get your work out there however possible and usually if you put it out in a place where people you know or are friends with, it is more likely they will share it or show it to others rather than rely on the shoulders of a search engine. Put your blog link on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, whatever and it is sure to gain some sort of traffic.

  22. Have a routine time to post so that your readers have an expectation to go to your blog and seeing something new. I also would like to have guest blogger if anyone is interested.

  23. The best way I think is to post links to your social media because everyone has a ton of twitter followers or Facebook friends. Guest blogging also works pretty well.
