Recommendation:

Make one recommendation below for improving the class.

  1. I love this class. I would highly recommend this class. I think it would be beneficial if maybe we saw some of the graphic design that goes into blogging. Some of the blogs I saw were custom made and I think it would be cool to learn that part of it too instead of using a template.

  2. Really the only recommendation I have for the class, would be to have more time set aside for commenting and critiquing other blogger's posts. I feel like we could learn through other's mistakes, and find ways to improve them.

  3. This class is great. The only recommendation I have for the class is that I would like to see more interaction between the other classmates than just through comments on posts. Maybe a group project? or something along the lines of blending blogs together. It would make the class interesting to see what the classmates can create when multiple creative minds are put together.

  4. I believe more critiquing and discussion about each others blog posts would help students understand what people pay attention to most when reading a blog.

  5. First off, I would say that this class has been very useful to me and I enjoyed it.

However, I would suggest that more interection between people in the class both through blogs and in person should be encourage.

  6. This class was awesome in every way possible. I hate people, but Dr. Clark has shown me a way to interact with my writing and personality without despising every aspect of it's creation. Most teachers have you read a book that they selected, or to cite a person for your original thoughts that they had first.

This class teaches you to write about what you love without it feeling like a "Dear Diary" or working for some corporate monster. It gives identity structure.

  7. I loved this class. I enjoyed getting to know people through the outlet of blogging. The only recommendation I have is to somehow come up with a system to keep people accountable for their blog posts and comments on other blogs, a way to keep track of all that.

  8. This class was different than any other class I've ever taken, in a good way.

I would recommend teaching us more about design to make our blogs looks unique instead of using whatever BlogSpot supplies. I saw other students were able to do these types of things. It would be nice to teach all of us how to that so that all of our blogs looked as nice as theirs.

  9. I really think one of the best ways to improve this class is to keep up the discussions from start to finish. We all got to sit around and discuss things at the beginning of class, but then it felt like we hardly talked after that point. Maybe every few weeks you could talk to people and we could discuss how we are doing on our blog, what sorts of things inspire posts, or how we develop them.

  10. I agree with those who said we need to learn some of the graphic development stages and I also agree with Laura about the workshops. Workshops are the greatest tool for me and I feel like they would be very, I mean, damn beneficial.

If we spent a week selecting a blog and naming it and then one or two weeks producing our blog, then we would still have lots of time to actually blog.

Once again, I agree with my classmates that said we should be working together. Somehow, whether it be a guest blog or a group project, working with somebody else in the class could really benefit bloggers via the well this worked for me or this didn't work for me route.

Overall though, I loved the class. I'm glad I took it.

  11. I also enjoyed the class it got writing more. I do agree with the comment about having more student interaction with each other in class not just on the comments of posts.

  12. I have enjoyed this class, and know that I will be graduating Saturday taking away skills that have grave value in them.

The only recommendation I have about improving this course would be to go over terms a little bit better. When you don't have a definition given by the professor, it is sometimes hard to know which version is the right one of the term.

Dr. Clark I would like to personally thank you for being the most influential professor I have ever had. The knowledge and skills you have given me will not be forgotten. Out of all of the professors I have ever had you are the most memorable for several reasons. I thank you for all that I have gained from you and wish you the best!
