  1. I had trouble finding blogs that interested me. Most on the lists weren't up to date, but I eventually found an up-to-date blog.
I decided to go with Mona Andrei's blog Moxie-Dude.
It's biggest strength is that it's up to date. The latest post was from last Wednesday.
It makes me think that up-to-date blogs are the easiest to grow. If you have new-content every time a reader goes to the website, that reader is more likely to come back. If a reader comes to the website two months after your last post, and that post is still the newest one, they're going to be reluctant in ever coming back.
The weakness I spotted was her layout. It makes it hard to see when each article is posted. They aren't in any sort-of left-to-right or top-to-bottom date order and that makes it hard to follow her stories sometimes.

  2. One health blog I like a lot and receive weekly email updates from is called Hello Healthy, and it is from the people at MyFitnessPlan.
I think this blog has a lot of strengths. It has many different subjects on health, which gives it a big audience because there is something for everyone on the blog. From the beginner to someone who's been working out and eating healthy for a long time. It has ideas and tips for cooking, working out, eating, running, workout gear and so much more.
From looking at this blog I learned that a good blog should be broad with the topics. If you keep a narrow and specific subject, not many people will be interested in reading your blog often.
I think the only weakness this blog has is that it is kind of over loaded with information so it's a lot to look at. If there was a cleaner layout I think it would be easier to navigate and look at all of the information and posts.

  3. I also had a hard time finding a blog I liked and only because all the ones I happened to click on were out of date. Oklahoma Wine News caught my interest but it hadn't been updated since January of this year. My favorite blog I found was OklahomaRock. I didn't find it on the list but I found it while looking at other music blogs. This blog is up to date, talks about music tours that travel here, on top of local music shows and news. It even lists all the music venues in Oklahoma and the bands that have big upcoming projects. Some ideas I'm getting is to put some local band news in my blog. I travel to all these states to see these big names and sometimes don't make it out to support the local music scene.

  4. A Pescatarian Lifestyle for Peace
Everyone loves a good food blog. It;s so fun to look at other people's creations and even try them out for yourself. This one is composed of pescatarian meals and it looks really professional. My only critique is that there hasn't been a new post since 2012. That gives off the impression that there aren't that many interesting pescatarian recipes to try. That's not a very good message to send to a budding pescatarian like myself.

  6. Praying Pelican Missions
I believe a huge strength to a successful blog is making it easy to access and navigate and that's exactly how Praying Pelican Missions is set up. It's easy to use and arranged in a way that's also appealing to ones eyes.
I like the quality of the posts on this blog. It's giving me an idea of the direction I want to go with mine and it just happens to be the organization that I'm going on my mission trip with. The layout is simple.
I honestly don't have any critiques. The posts are short and sweet and not overbearing. If I had to give the blog any critique I would say use some more color on the overall page or even more pictures. I think bright colors and images are appealing to the eye and pull people in.

  7. The Wideyed Wanderer.
This is a blog by one of my friends who is currently living in the Middle East. He does the blog to share his experiences within a new culture. I like the way he portrays his stories and the imagery used. I would like to be able to add a personal touch to my posts as he does. One thing I do not like about his blog is that the posts are a little mire tailored to his friends and family. It is almost a little too personal. I want to be able to be more appealing to a larger audience.

  8. 1. I think it's strengths include diversity and content. Very well researched and seemed to be very well thought out. Grammar is good and has no problems.

    2. The biggest thing that I got out of this blog is the ability to research everything and give opinion on the content.

    3. The only weaknesses are that it doesn't have too many quotes, and with sports writing you have to have quotes because it helps tell the story. Especially if it's a recap or a feature story on an athlete. Quotes are almost mandatory to have a top of the line sports story.

  10. The Paper Doll
I really enjoy this blog because of the style yet simplicity of it. Britain Mills does a fantastic job of making her styles relatable and easy to copy, and that itself is a strength. The ideas she has given me is to make sure I talk about looks that are easy to achieve and are actually affordable. I think the problem with fashion blogs is that everyone thinks you have to use high end clothing to make people want to read it. The only weakness I see with this blog is that she doesn't update it as much as she should. She will either do three posts back to back or wait three months to do an update and I think it really leaves her readers hanging.
